Reprocess ocean plastics in Da Fon
First Vice-President Frans Timmermans, responsible for sustainable development, said: "If we don't change the way we produce and use plastics, there will be more plastics than fish in our oceans by 2050.
Making plastic products is like running water from open faucets, overflowing the sinks and bathtubs into the bathroom. It’s helpless bailing water out with small spoons. Recycling and the small spoons are alike. It’s useless however hard you do recycle. The speed of producing plastics is way faster than recycling plastics.
TK Story came to Da Fon plastic processing plant to reprocess ocean plastics. Waste becomes raw materials again in here. Recycled plastic pellets can be made into new plastic products, whose carbon emission is only 25% of virgin plastic products and can be 100% recycled. Using recycled pellets enhances the 3R policy: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
